Sanity Returns To Pier

Just as everyone was wondering when the port commission would be committed to the insane asylum, they've finally scrapped plans for the steel warehouse they previously planned to be the new cruise ship terminal, many tourists' first impression of the city.

They now favor a modern building with an industrial edge, lots of windows and open airy spaces. However they've wasted so much time pursuing the pole barn and a cheap tent like structure, they're now months behind and it's not expected to be completed on schedule.

Only in San Diego would barns and tents be seriously considered for a permanent downtown cruise ship terminal. Fortunately the new design is not only respectable, but actually looks pretty decent.
