Gerry Braun recently did an excellent write-up on the steel warehouse Port officials are planning for Broadway Pier to serve cruise ship tourists.
I just got back from Chicago Monday where they've done a fantastic job with their waterfront - lots of open park space for people to enjoy. No warehouses or other ugly structures. Vancouver is similar. San Diego officials really need to visit other cities to see how downtown waterfronts can be used correctly.
